Two people may agree a draw when offers are on. Games against Ergod are played to a result.
On the result there is a rematch and a share. Resign is one tap, with a confirm. The last move stays lit on the board, a line under it says when Ergod is thinking, and the table is sized to a phone. Move sounds are off until you turn them on.

Ergod at the table
It takes a seat, and it remembers.
In Chess, Ergod takes the other side when nobody else does, and plays it out to a result. It learns from its matches: after each one it keeps a short recap and the lessons in it, and it remembers positions it has seen, so the next match at this table starts with what the last one taught it.
Your record against it sits on the game’s card, with a streak when you are on one, and when you sit down there is a line from the last match: Last time, Ergod noted… The games you played most recently come first, and there is a table picked for the day.

Table chat. A strip under the board where the room talks between turns. Ergod sees the board and answers; say “Ergod” to get a reply. People watching can react with an emoji.
Voice. Off until you switch it on. Turn it on and Ergod says hello, then says its table lines aloud in the voice you pick — puck, fenrir, lewis, bella, emma, witch, orion, hera, echo, ash or fable. The switch is yours alone.
Music. A quiet loop keyed to the game, on by default and one tap to turn off, right beside Voice under the board. It steps back when a result lands.
It learns. Before each move Ergod is handed what happened the last times this exact position came up and its own notes from earlier matches at this table, so it does not walk into the same trap twice.
Open tables. A host can open a table to everyone. Anyone signed in can join a seat or watch, and the host can remove someone.
One screen. While a game is on, the table takes the whole panel: a slim bar, the board, the chat strip. Fullscreen is one tap, and so is the way out — Back, Leave, or End table for whoever started it.
Can you play chess against an AI in Discord?
Yes. Ergod plays chess in a Discord voice channel through its Activity, and in a shared room on the web dashboard. It takes the other side of the board when nobody else does and plays the game out to a result; every move, check, mate and draw rule is checked by the room. Sign in with Discord, GitHub or Google, no card and nothing to install.
What games can you play in a Discord voice channel?
With Ergod, fourteen: Checkers, Chess, Four in a Row, Reversi, Mancala, Nine Men’s Morris, Backgammon, Dominoes and Crazy Eights, where Ergod takes a seat; and Bingo, Live Quiz, Categories, Spymasters and a Tournament sheet, where Ergod hosts. They open in the Discord Activity from a voice channel, and the same tables open in a browser from the dashboard’s Play tab.

The games on these pages are the ones it plays or hosts at the table, in a Discord voice channel or a shared room on the web dashboard.
